What is the number in the single cell cage far right column, third row from the bottom? And right next to it, is the operator for 14040 an "x?"

25 points, wow! And yeah, I have the same questions as rossiniman. How long do we get to solve this? I also wonder what the rating is?

A very nice Christmas puzzle from "Papa Noël". I also confirm cell p14 is a 6 and not very relevant when solving the puzzle, you arrive to it in a natural way when solving; the cage is "14040x". It took me around two hours but I am not very fast, I "poetically" enjoy the solution, and I usually prefer, in the large puzzles, to be quite sure when assigning candidates than erasing a big part of the puzzle. Difficult (challenging but not ultradifficult) in my opinion (maximum size of the cages is 4 cells, additon or multiplication cages) though it requires time and it's obviously necessary to "watch" the 16's (alone or as an additional factor in powers of 2), the 15's (when calculating factors, in addition to 10's and 5's), 14's (2x7 also for factors) and 13's. In some way similar to 12x12's. I suppose when the code is available it could be entered from "any" of the book's "submit solutions".

Hi, everyone. I began to solve the Christmas puzzle 16x16 and its solution will last several days. It doesn't look like very difficult but is a little confusing ( complicated ) on account of the new numbers we are not accustomed. For this I'll have a problem if I'll make a mistake because I don't have the courage to recommence from the beginning. What do you do to lessen this fact? Some players, such as Sneaklyfox, that use almost exclusively the display, with this puzzle will use ( much ) pencil and paper ( or am I mistaken ? ).

I never use pencil and paper. I solve the book puzzles in Excel and probably this one also.
