OK, I'll do it tomorrow. I'll steal... er, borrow my sister's camera and I'll film my timed puzzles, so you all know I'm not cheating [biggrin]

I'm waiting anxiously to see it!
And why not a 4x4 also? It is only some seconds.

C'mon Shel, we're not acusing you of cheating, but it seems a lot of people are anxious to see how fast you move. Personally, I don't find your 6x6 times intriguing (maybe the 17,0 sec ...) but your constant 4 seconds 4x4's. Do you have that ability Starling described as "seeing" the solution of the whole puzzle moments after it apears and then just quickly filling the numbers? Do you guess at any time?

there is no accusation of cheating..
just want to see how you do it.. very intriguing - since at my age I can't even move my fingers fast enough to fill 36 squares that fast with just random numbers!!

Heck at my age it takes at least 4 seconds to enter the 1st number :-)

So I just realized I could do local recordings on Xsplit and recorded a 4x4. Quality is a little buggy, so I'm going to try a few more times. I'll post the best quality video before going to sleep.

Edit:

Can't get the initial bugginess to go away, so I just stalled until you could see the whole puzzle. Start at 13 seconds to skip that part. Stop at 26 to ignore me rambling.

I'll try to get a 6x6 up tomorrow, and sorry that I can't show you my hands, since I don't have the ability to point my laptop's webcam down and still see the puzzle.

What might be most impressive about that demonstration is how ordinary that was. Starling started on the top right, then the bottom right, then worked back up, to the left and down again. It was probably just how I would have solved it, only three or four times faster.

Wow.

Awesome video, starling! Funny... I'm so used to thinking of you as "starling" that I couldn't imagine you having a real name. [razz]
