Post Stupid Move
Talk about a stupid move: I, not thinking as I was on my iPad, loaded the 8x8 timed and then realized that I never do them on my iPad and therefore cancelled it thinking I could go to my computer to solve it and of course the site notified me I had already done the 8x8 [cursing] [cursing] [cursing] .....this will be the 1st time in years that I will not be able to complete the 8x8 timed [cursing]

Post Re: Stupid Move
I've started doing timed puzzles on my PC instead of my iPad. In general, I'm much slower because I haven't quite got used to use the number pad and mouse. But hopefully, I'll improve with practice.

Anyway, today I went to do the 8x8 times and was called away from the computer as it was loading. When I got back to the computer, I got a message saying I'd already done one 8x8 puzzle today (I hadn't! [confused] ) and I was unable to do any 8x8 today. [cursing]

For beaker the database is showing a finished timed 8x8 today (15 minutes 24 seconds?)

For paulv66 not, I cleared the entry so you can try again..

This is my experience and others may not have the same results.

I used to the my laptop, and older Mac to do times puzles. When I got my iPad Pro last year, I still continued to use the laptop for times puzzles. I thought the arrow keys were helping.

This spring, I switched to my iPad Pro for everything. I am of the belief that I actually do the 8 x 8 faster on the tablet.

ETA: Patrick, Beaker's post was from a week ago.

Not the greatest.....it seems like if I do the right moves at the beginning, I'll get down to 5 minutes or less but if those 1st moves are "stupid moves" then I have to go back over the puzzle to get everything to fit which is difficult due to all the other numbers present on my puzzle and hence I end up with times around 15-18 minutes [cursing]

Because I am on a quest for 100k (I am at 73K now)....

I do not give up on the 8 x 8, as we only get one per day.
You do not want to know my 2nd longest time
My longest time was when I needed to talk with someone, and they unexpectedly arrived. I had hours elapse before I could finish ithe puzzle.
