Post subject:  Ads make the site unusable

original title: "Reclames maken de site onbruikbaar"

Hoi!

Groeten!

A short translation for the English speakers: lately more and more ads are videos,
slowing down the browser a lot. Now there's a video ad that generates an error,
causing the browser to stop responding.

I'll look into this, thanks for reporting. Even though I block a lot of categories,
specified familiy-friendly ads only, no pop-ups, no pop-unders, no sound, etc.,
somehow my ad providers "forget" this from time to time :-(

Martijn: can you maybe email me a screenshot of the "broken" ad?

I've now sent an inquiry about this to my primary ad provider.
(and sent them the screenshot)

I also use a 2nd "backup" provider, but video ads have been disabled for that account.

Will let you know as soon as I know more.

The ad provider in question ("Pulsepoint") still hasn't replied (!)

I also now received reports that some ads are "pop-ups" which I have explicitly disabled everywhere [cursing]

It's driving me up the wall that my ad settings are conveniently "forgotten" time and time again :(
