Post When does Day light savings happen in Europe?
Today was the start of Daylight Savings in the US. (I cannot speak for Canada. I do not mean to be arrogant, I just do not know when Canada does its times shift.)
Because the US is not in sync with other parts of the world, for US participants the time the clock is reset for a new day is an hour later.

It will change when Europe goes onto Daylight Savings and I would appreciate knowing when that will happen this year (2021).

The same thing happens in the autumn, when the US "falls back" before Europe, and the US participants will have 23 hours to finish Sunday's puzzles

Am I being too obsessive to know when the time shift occurs in various countries?

In my opinion, the whole twice-a-year clock changing should be abolished (as has happened
in many countries, just in Europe they keep pushing the decision back).

Details of who changes when are here: https://yro.slashdot.org/comments.pl?si ... d=61156310

Patrick,
Thank you for the info.
Casually talking with people, I haven't found anyone who fervently advocates for DST.

For US participants: the time will be back to "normal" on March 28 2021; 2 weeks from today.

Canada changed over this AM.....here in BC, the gov't is trying to coordinate with the 3 Pacific States to abolish the yearly double change and just stay with the summer time all year round.

I miss getting my puzzles at 5:00 pm. This two week period is frustrating for me.

Whenever it's up to me, I'll continue to observe DST but refuse to accept the yearly end of it. That way we get 1 extra hour every autumn but don't have to ever deal with the worst day of the year where we lose an hour of sleep in spring.

I know.

I was thinking of doing a putting up a message for people in the US and Canada (Mexico, parts of Central America) that next Sunday, the clock resets one hour earlier than the lat two weeks, meaning there are only 23 hrs to do the puzzles.

I will be happier getting the puzzles one hour earlier.
