Post puzzle a tempo

pazienza

(scusi, rispondo in inglese)

I'm seeing this in the logs for you:

00:34:56, 4x4 timed, 51.396, with Firefox

13:05:34, 5x5 timed, loaded but not finished, Chrome
13:07:57: same

13:08:29, timed page was loaded, but then switched to rankings,
no puzzle selected / recorded (?), Firefox

13:08:49, 4x4 timed, loaded but not finished, Firefox

13:09:59, 6x6 timed, 126.068, Firefox

What happened exactly when you tried to do the 5x5 timed puzzles?

I will add some more logging to the timed puzzle page in any case.

thanks,

Patrick

Unfortunately i forgot that chrome doesn't work correctly.
I completed a timed 5x5 puzzle, then a warning message appeared, I don't remember exactly (I'll save it the next time).
I opened a new session in firefox, then I closed the session in chrome, unfortunely I closed the session in firefox too.
I made a mistake, i know.
I thought it was possible to reload a puzzle not finished to complete it but the buttom 5x5 in timed puzzles section is disabled and grayed.

Thanks

No, sorry, once a puzzle has started it counts as an attempt.

Sorry, that looks like a network error when submitting the puzzle
(some disconnection between your computer and the server).

Did the time get submitted at all?

Every time a timed puzzle submission was marked as suspicious I'd send out an email
asking if maybe a solver had been used. Because I don't want to deal with this anymore
(especially not with the replies I sometimes get like "I got lucky", "I practised a lot" etc.)
I now simply "blacklist" an account when this happens (in which case you can still do
all the puzzles, you just don't show up in the timed rankings anymore), figuring that if
people want this to change, they'll contact me (which you did, not by email, but in an
unrelated forum thread)(the relevant thread is this one: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=530).

In your case, the latest suspect puzzle was a 6x6, solved on February 9th this year.

very sorry for being suspected to use a solver...
you can see, I'm very slow in solving timed puzzles even 4x4
and all general puzzles as well.
When there's a time to beat, I try to do it as fast as I can but I'm never the fastest.
Sometimes I start one and then I give it up because I can't see the solution at the first glance
and sometimes the solution I find is not accepted. So I'm quite sad for your opinion.

You're right, it didn't happen very often in your case: once on Feb 9th,
once on September 5th, and once on August 18th (last year).

In all these cases a full 6x6 solution was entered in less than 20 seconds,
which caused them to be flagged.
