But it seems that the switch has not "swapped" to the May 21, 2013, 5x5 difficult, now there are two no-op puzzles, the previous May 23, 6x6 and this one.

That is correct.

I noticed that when you use backspace or clear all cells it doesn't clear the operators. Also the "today" link didn't work for me initially although I went back now and it took me to today's puzzle, so maybe it gets you to the date that the page was loaded?

There must be some more unexpected glitches/missing functionality.

The save function will not save the operators, for example.

My plan now is to replace the Sunday subscriber puzzle (the 6x6 patterned)
with a 6x6 (or larger?) "no-op" puzzle.

Any opinions on that?

Perfect, that novelty very welcome, at least we can fill part of the puzzle: a few operators, like multiplications or sums in the big results, ... [smile].

I would rather (see you experiment with) one of the difficult killers being replaced either on the Thurs, Fri, or Sat instead of the patterned 6x6.....reason being is that I can most of the time get the 6x6 but will probably never get one of these no-op puzzles......am sure many users are looking forward to these but which users would they be (the caliber of a clm or the caliber of a beaker?)

But the Killer Sudoku puzzles are not part of the subscriber set: I was looking to
replace the extra puzzle on Sunday, not a regular puzzle.

I've only done one no-op so far. I think I solved it but got no program acknowledgement that I had done so. Hopefully any pertinent bugs will be ironed out before they're included in the regular rotation.

Please see this post: viewtopic.php?p=4039#p4039
in this thread: that bug should be fixed now.

Good idea that this first no-op is "easy" (6x6 and "large" results). Btw, the "Clear all cells" feature cleans the cells but not the operators (this could be also interesting for this specific puzzle).
