I don't know how the other players feel, the 10 x 10 puzzle on Fridays was really interesting, different to the other puzzles. I miss it. Also I wish you pnm and all the puzzlers a merry xmas and happy new year |

Oh my, don't eliminate the bitwise or and the modulo. There's only one of each per week and they give a very interesting bit of variety. In general, the changes make the landscape a little bleak for more experienced solvers. I agree there should be a range of difficulties. But so many difficults have come out that it seems skewed way over in the other direction. Like others, I tried solving everything every day for a couple of years and drove myself crazy. I finally bit my lip and changed my approach to doing just three, four, five puzzles each day - only the ones I really enjoy, which after a few years of practice tend toward the larger, tougher puzzles. Now there are days where there is only one puzzle in that category. So I would add a few puzzles back, and lean them toward the dificult side. Again, a good mixture, but there is currently no shortage of easy and medium puzzles. |

No, don't worry, they're not going anywhere. rossiniman wrote: So I would add a few puzzles back, and lean them toward the dificult side. Yes, there are more easy/medium puzzles, for a few reasons: - to keep the site interesting for people who are just starting - they don't take a lot of time to solve (especially if you're more experienced and want to solve them anyway) Patrick |
