Hm, embarrassing oversight on my part: the script that updates the totals every day did not yet implement the "42 maximum" rule. So if you got 42 points on a day, and 'rickt' (for example) solved all the puzzles, he'd get quite a few more points. In any case, I've dropped the 42 maximum rule just now, while looking for something better. Patrick I thought I tried to do extra puzzle to see if they would still yield points but they didn't for me (as far as I knew).

Re: total points
Maybe I just didn't notice right. But either way...
I want the points for all the puzzles that I didn't do since the 42 point maximum thing was supposed to start. Can you make them available somehow? (Right now I can only do the puzzles I didn't do for today and the 12x12 from Thursday).

Well something else then... whoever got points beyond the 42 should be reduced to 42? I just don't think those of us who thought it really was at 42 max should be at a disadvantage because of an oversight on your part...

Hm, yes, that's an idea, to reduce the max regular points for August 1 through 4 to 42 ...

In any case, I've dropped the 42 maximum rule just now, while looking for something better. Patrick The final solution would probably be to limit the number of puzzles, as previously suggested by several calcudokers, so that each one can select the points and difficulty. In that case I suggest a number of 7 (the "perfect" number), that would include (for instance in a saturday like today) the two more difficult killer's plus the med and difficult 6x6's, the 8x8's and the 9x9. Sure most people would try the 10x10 on friday's (14 points and easier than the corresponding size on tuesdays ). The two very interesting 12x12's (72 hours and 16 points) on thursday's and sunday's should not count for the limit (like if they were, in some way, "extra puzzles" for all calcudokers).
