Post Keyboard shortcuts suggestion
Hi Patrick -

I'd like to suggest the following keyboard short-cuts. I've wished for these while puzzling on your site:

copy - press control-c to copy the current pencil-marks into the copy/paste buffer
paste - press control-v to paste the current pencil-marks from the copy/paste buffer into the current square (ignoring those that are out of the allowed values)
all - press control-a to fill the square with all of the allowed pencil marks. e.g., in a standard 4x4 puzzle it inserts 1234
lock/unlock - press control-l so that a square can't have its value or pencil-marks changed until control-l is pressed again. a change of colour could show a locked square

I don't need these, I just think I'd find them nice.

I like the lock idea. Would prefer the shortcut to be [ though (since I can conveniently reach that one with my arrowkeys-hand when I'm puzzling, and it's next to the ] which does bold).

I am not certain if it would make it any easier. Actually it involves more use of keyboard than just typing in the number. [thumbdn]
