Calcudoku with diagonals
Hi, solvers, I was inspired one of speciality of sudoku – sudoku with diagonals. So I created such calcudoku. In both diagonals (gray lines) must appear each of numbers 1–7. Good solving…

Thanks for your effort, I have really enjoyed it. Very original puzzle, I also think that the solution is unique with the restriction imposed (the main diagonals). I like the symmetry of the diagram too (producing that particular set of numbers in the central H-shape cage). Considering that the solution is unique (even without the restriction), according to nicow (particularly myself I have not analyzed this) I would suggest that you "propose" it as user-defined puzzle (in the "Submit your own puzzles to the site") link. I had a similar thought, knowing that if I were clever enough to construct such an excellent puzzle, I would have major difficulty with the code for submission. I then realized, though, that submissions are currently limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I hope Patrick will be able to change this when convenient.

This is the first 'solution' my solver found. See the multiple 7's in the diagonal. So I added to the (new) model the restriction for diagonals; that's quite easy. clm is right, this is not a good 'solution'.

In practice there is no such restriction, I only wrote that to try and make the submission page a bit more accessible.

Here's a solution, one of 152 found by my solver: 5 4 3 1 6 7 2 2 5 1 4 7 6 3 6 1 5 7 3 2 4 4 2 7 6 1 3 5 1 7 4 3 2 5 6 7 3 6 2 5 4 1 3 6 2 5 4 1 7 Still something not quite right though, because it can't find a solution with different numbers on both diagonals
