Post I am not sure I got all my points.
HI,
I think I am missing 10 pts from the 9 x 9 today.

I have done all the puzzles for over a month now.

Thank you for any and all help

Hi,

I checked your totals, and all seems to be correct.

The puzzle should also show in on your history page, let me know if it isn't.

best,

Patrick

I am in the US and only compare my rankings with the people from the US.

Mparisi, Kadelson are two great puzzlers. Joeyxiv, and Diane123 are also top point earners. All four of them also do timed, and / or book puzzles. I do not.

I understand that with the weekly ranking dealing with EXTRA that someone can have more points that even if you both done all the puzzles because of the timing of when a person finished up the 12 x 12 puzzle. Thank you for giving us three days to get it completed.

I do not understand how people can have different weekly rankings with the REGULAR puzzles. They have to be turned in with 24 hrs. You either get them done or you don't.
I have been doing all the puzzles worth points for several weeks now. I finally figured out strategies for the Hard Killer sudokus.
Why does Mparisi have 10 more points than the rest of us?
I know I did every regular puzzle in the last week.

I think this might be because of the points for bonus puzzles (the ones that you get after reaching a certain amount of total points); I think those get added to the totals for the 'regular' ranking.

Sheldolina,
Thank you for that.

I was wondering if that was where the bonus points were out.
People who do the timed puzzles and book puzzles will get more bonus puzzles within a one week period.

There is also the possibility of some book puzzles being submitted for "extra points"!!

Beaker,
In the Rankings, there is a separate section for points earned by submitting book puzzles, and another section for timed puzzles.

My question was about points that appear in the REGULAR listing.

I was essentially equal to other great puzzlers, and knew I had been doing every puzzle - but excluded the timed and book submissions.
Yesterday, after several days of being right on on top, I was suddenly 10 points behind several people.
It didn't make sense if REGULAR points are only from regular puzzles.

It does makes sense if the Bonus puzzles that appear at XXX05 or XXX55 (at 250 pt intervals) contribute to the standing in the REGULAR column.

I think I may have to get the books to try and get more points, and also more bonus puzzles.

Ok, I produced detailed reports of all puzzles solved for that week (Dec 4th through to Dec 10th)
for both mparisi and eclipsegirl, and put them side by side.

During that week, mparisi solved 3 bonus puzzles, whereas eclipsegirl solved 2, which explains the 10 point difference.

Thank you Patrick.

I wasn't sure where the Bonus puzzle points went.
I apologize for make you do such a menial task.

Yes, I finally broke down and will have two books to keep me occupied and hopefully earn more points.

This site is addictive.
Thank you for creating it and hosting it.

No problem, sometimes these discrepancies are the result of a bug, so it is useful to investigate :)
