There should be an arrow button (on 6x6 puzzles and above) that, when clicked, makes the puzzle move to the other side.

Mostly good but somewhat jangly on the twins. Number pad on one side or the other but not in the middle would help. Having each twin be of equal size would help.

For twin puzzles the number pad now sits below the puzzle.

It's funny how your mind can slide over things so easily. I saw the 'X' and thought, "That closes the number pad." I saw the '-->' and thought, "That collapses the number pad into or behind the puzzle."

I never slowed to think that those are the same thing.

Thanks for the enhancements.

Easily confused though, especially since initially the arrow closed the number pad...

It should now be possible to switch between the old and new style number pads on your accounts settings page [woot]

THANK YOU Patrick for allowing us to switch between number pads.

I found that in doing last Saturday's 15 x 15, I actually like the old pad.

I always use LARGE cells.
The 15 x 15 puzzle is reduced with the new number pad.
I also have to click on a cell and then scroll to pencil in a number.
The scrolling can remove the cell I am working on.
I end up double checking that the number was penciled in.

With the old pad, I can keep it centered to the side of the puzzle
When I still scroll to deal with the upper or lower parts of the puzzle, all of the pad is visible.

Okay, I'll say it. I liked the old way better. The old way the new number pad displayed on twin puzzles, that is. I found when viewing the puzzles in landscape the two puzzles and the number pad fit on the screen very well. That was true for the 6x6 puzzles. I didn't check with any larger puzzles like today's extra puzzle. If the number pad does stay on the bottom, I'd suggest making the number keys taller so that both sides are the same height. This seems to be an issue on my Android phone - the 'x' to close the number pad is taller than the other keys, as is the pencil key when active - but not on my mac.

Here's another thing for possible consideration. I find that I accidentally 'undo' when I intend to 'bold' fairly regularly. I'll probably adjust, with time. And I don't have a solution. Swapping pencil and bold would just shift the issue to a different key.
