Post question about 10 millionth puzzle puzzle submission format
Hi Patrick and congratulations on 10 million puzzles solved! I've got a question about when I enter my 10 millionth puzzle bonus puzzle solutions on the book puzzle submission page. Will calcudoku.org reject my solutions if I put spaces between the individual digits for each row? For example, suppose the first 3 digits of the 17x17 puzzle are 15, 11 and 17 in that order. I'm concerned that if I write 151117, my solution would be wrong because there are four ones in the same row. Thanks in advance for your time and patience regarding my question and kudos once again on 10 million puzzles solved.

Sincerely,
skeeter84

Yes, calcudoku.org will reject submissions if they have spaces. I tried this on my very first submission (a 10x10) with the same concerns, and it was rejected. I have solved and submitted a few puzzles 10x10 and up without spaces, and they passed without difficulty. On one occasion, I had an 11x11 where the solution had 1, 11, and 10 all in a row! [unsure]

However, I think you do have a point. With 1 and 11,Someone could think they solved the puzzle with 11,1 instead of the correct solution of 1,11, but it would still be accepted. However unlikely this may be, it could still be an issue, so maybe spaces should be put between numbers.

Is there a bonus puzzle available to celebrate the 10 millionth solved puzzle? If so, how do you access it?

Yes, there is - in fact, there are 10! You can access the pdf booklet by clicking on the "10 million puzzles solved!" banner, and submit them for points via the "submit book puzzles" button in the books section of the website.

Thanks for this, it should be easy to make the
form also accept submissions with spaces in them.

Will fix this as soon as I'm back (travelling at the moment)
