Some fun numbers:
The 1.782 4x4 had 17.40 key presses a second.
The 3.605 5x5 had 13.59 key presses a second.
The 5.536 6x6 had 13.19 key presses a second.

Wow.......17 key strokes per second.........unreal..........I probably average about 1.3 seconds per key stroke on an easy 4x4 even when I can immediately see the solution to the puzzle!!

Did you take the arrow keys into account?

NOPE! Am on my iPad now and never thought about the arrow keys.......so, I guess my average would be 1/2 of that I stated or 0.65 sec per key stroke.......seeing that number makes me feel a little faster and a bit better as am almost 73 yrs old with some arthritis in my fingers (it's getting to the point where I can do the first 3 letters when signing my name but the last 4 letters are not legible)

Oh. My. God! (If there such a thing)

Those keystrokes per second are insane! My fastest 4x4 (in Timed puzzles) has just under 11 per second, but obviously that's a bit different but still.. My fastest time from this thread was 2,904 and that would be about 14 per second (I take 40 keystrokes at least for a really fast puzzle)..

But now I'll pick my jaw of the floor and start practicing :-)

Just somehow got a 2.677 on one of those linear diagonal ones:

1234
4123
3412
2341

For some reason I seem to be really good at this specific pattern.

EDIT: 2.383 on the same puzzle
EDIT 2: 2.326

My best time ever was also on this specific 1234-diagonal puzzle last week (2,364).
One of the rare 5*5 diagonal puzzles took me 4,297, which is not too far away from that 3,605.
