Re: 8x8 timed
Did my fastest ever 8x8 today - 3 minutes 52.182 seconds. I know that's pretty slow by reference to the times routinely done by jpoos and the other speedsters, but I'm happy with an improvement of over 7.8 seconds on my previous best time. I also did my 5th fastest 4x4 and my 26th fastest 5x5. The less said about my 6x6 time the better - the best I could do was my 562th fastest.

Re: 8x8 timed
Paul, You got me today by 13 secs. I do not know if earned the extra point. I was not happy with distraction caused by Mr E.
Meant to write congrats earlier on your best time

Re: 8x8 timed
I have been having poor days of late.
But today was good. 4:2?. Often gets into to the top ten, but not today.
You got the point for participating, which is a reason why many do through this exercise. :hugs:

Re: 8x8 timed
I understand how you both feel. Yesterday, I also did the 8x8 in 4:23 and finished outside the top 10.
Today I thought I had it finished in around the same time, but some of the cells were wrong. All the rows were OK, but two of the columns had duplicates. I couldn't find a quick fix, so had to start again, more or less from scratch. Second time round, there was also an error, but this was resolved by swapping around two pairs of cells. Slowest time so far today and I'll struggle to make top 25.

Re: 8x8 timed
My frustration of yesterday was on the 5x5. I did it in 38.790 seconds, my 59th best effort in 3496 tries, good for #26 and 1 point.
