I think the easy Killers are actually easy, and this one is easier than most puzzles rated easy. But most easy ones are very similar, and take some minutes to solve for me (5-10 minutes normally I think).

I agree with angryclown. A gentle one, looks better without additional clues though.

I compared this puzzle to the 2 killer sudokus from yesterday (19/10) using my own method for rating the difficulty of puzzles.
The puzzle above rated 15.8,
the easy killer (19/10) rated 12.2,
and the medium killer (19/10) rated 49.5
On my ratings scale 15.8 and 12.2 indicates a reasonably easy puzzle, with no complications, and very little analysis required to find the solution.

To add to my previous post about how I rate the difficulty of this puzzle I compared it to Friday's (22/10) difficult killer sudoku.

The puzzle shown above rated 15.8
Based on my method that makes this puzzle look very easy, as I had said before. I thought it might be of some interest to compare it to a difficult puzzle.

I found this puzzle to be quite easy.
This puzzle actually needn't be a killer sudoku puzzle at all since it is solvable as any ordinary 9x9 calcudoku puzzle.
As a plain calcudoku puzzle (where there are no box constraints and values can repeat within cages), it made an excellent puzzle which was quite enjoyable to solve. In this context I think it would make it into the difficult section, but it is still easier than either the harder 9x9 puzzles that we get on a regular basis or the Friday killers..
