Totally agree with you, as I am in a similar situation. I was very happy to unlock puzzles by watching an ad - I hope this can be re-introduced in some way.

I am not into facebook, instagram , snapchat or any other social media. So i don´´t have any followers I can post to .
Looking at an ad suited me very good. I know other sites have google ads.

I'll add a few "non-social-network" suggestions.
reddit is an option, for example (you can create a dummy account there, but do post to a relevant subreddit of course).

imgur is another. I'll try to find other options.

Edit: at some point I'll probably re-enable to "watch ad to unlock" option, it'll depend on what I can get approved with my new ad provider (who is not providing me ads yet, by the way, still stuck in the admin ).
