The code is slowly coming together, I can now produce larger puzzles in a reasonable amount of time ![[woot]](./images/smilies/msp_w00t.gif "Woot")
Any way to get the solution?

I’ve absolutely no idea how these puzzles work. Was there an explanation in an earlier post?

Every cage contains the numbers from 1-n, where n is the number of cells in the cage
No number x is adjacent (in any of 8 directions left/right/up/down and any of the intermediate diagonals) to another copy of that number x.
