 today's (June 12th, 2022) 4x4 difficult is tricky
Someone asked about this puzzle on youtube, my reply copied here:

That is quite a tricky one.

Here is the puzzle for reference: https://i.imgur.com/nDzx7Kw.png

I think a first step is to realize that both "2-" cages have to have the same numbers (!)
So either both 1,3, or both 2,4.

If they are both 1,3, then the sum of all cages except for the "1-" cage is 13 + 10 + 4 + 4 = 31,
which leaves 9 for the "1-" cage, which isn't possible.

If they are both 2,4, then this leaves 5 for the "1-" cage, which is possible, and can only be 2,3.

I'll probably do a short video on this puzzle as well, thanks for pointing it out :-)

If people know a quicker path to the solution, please post it here [thumbup]

How is this mandatory?

How is this mandatory?

If, for example, one of the cages is 2,4 then the other two cells in the row/column are 1,3,so the other cage can't be 1,3.
