I think this pattern is the third time it has appeared this year.

I am not a happy camper. I have been having a miserable day/week. I really didn't want to deal with this pattern right now.

I know this is not going to make me popular, but I didn’t find today’s puzzle all that difficult. But I see that I’m only the 27th person to solve it. [confused]

I eventually got it, just before midnight of Wed night.

I appreciate having 48 hrs to do the puzzle. I don't normally use the extra day.

I think I was the 31st person to solve the puzzle.

Patrick,
You are the admin.

Can you go back over all 15 yrs of this site and see how many people solved this particular pattern of 9 x 9? I am always curious. 37 solves seems particularly low for a Tues 9 x 9, is it also low for this particular pattern?

I have gone through past posts about solving techniques and the way I solved this one was a method previously mentioned in one of those posts.

@ Fzpowerman, I would have made a post no matter what to try to maintain a count of this pattern for 2024. Sometimes, we have day, or two that is more trying than others.

37 does seem like a very low count, even for a subscriber only puzzle. And if you were the 31st person to solve it at a few minutes to midnight, the actual count may be less than 37 as some of those who solved the puzzle may have done so after the solution was published.

It was a few minutes before midnight my local time, central US time. I apologize for that confusion.

Midnight my local time is 17 hr before reset.
