Are you referring to puzzle A4V14? I have also solved this puzzle. Or have I lost track of which puzzle is being discussed.

oops, yes, a4v14 indeed, and I didn't bother to check if there had been new solutions since last time...

The thread could be retitled -- a4v14 (#104)

I cracked it, today.
I was lucky.

I hated these four puzzles (a4v12, a4v14, a4v15, a5v16. or 104, 105, 106, 107).
I have had these last four puzzles waiting since Nov or maybe Oct 2020.

For whatever reason, I started with a4v16 / 107. I struggled and struggled. I contacted a friend who heard me vent, and eventually, I realized the issue I was having. I solved it shortly after correcting my mistake in logic. [cursing]

I went to a4v12 / 104 next.
Not easy, but now there was a method to my madness and I eventually solved it.

Then I decided to the one everyone complained about -- a4v14 / 105.
I was lucky. My method worked and I lucked out by choosing correctly which blind alleys to go down.

I have one left, a4v15 / 106.
Not looking forward to having more negatives in the play.

I hope to get it solved BEFORE Patrick releases a new volume. [scared]

Thank you. The 9 or 10 of you were faster, and more dedicated than me.

but (tee hee) I got an achievement for turning in a book puzzle today.

The speedy book solvers may have done all the Xmas puzzles a week or so ago did not receive this.

I am grateful for the Xmas present puzzles.
They were fun.
