I found today’s 8x8 particularly tricky and it took me quite a while to get a hook into it. I thought at one stage that I would just have to give up as I appeared to be getting nowhere. I’ll be interested to see how many people manage to solve it. |

I had to use quite a bit of trial and error, and I don't like that. If someone can provide a logical resolution with analytical methods, I would be very grateful to him/her! |

If I can’t quickly find a single number or set of numbers to be sure to write, I’m looking for a sequence that might further limit the set of possible variations. If that path has more steps than I can store the entire chain in memory, then I have to write numbers in boxes. To reduce the chances of an error and help me with Patric program, I write normal numbers. I don’t think it’s a simple trial and error method. |

First one for awhile i've had to solve by trial & error as just couldnt seem to work out a way in agter getting as far as I could logically. |

Hi, tusky, pse refer to this thread, viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1250 , where I have provided a step by step full analytical solution for this puzzle. |
