Tried again from another angle and just now solved iIt! With just over an hour to spare!

I had got into a loop looking at possible solutions to the -2 cage in C6, D6, D7 and kept getting stuck. When I realised there was another option, it all fell into place. But it was quite a struggle!

it was tough. I had to use a different strategy than normal. I had to solve the middle three columns first,

Only 44 people solved it in the allotted 48 hrs.

Patrick is definitely keeping his promise that he would keep ratcheting up the difficulty level! [scared]

I found today’s 9x9 a lot more straightforward than in recent weeks. Is this the calm before the storm?

Tue Jun 6 was solve 51 times. I think that is low. I know the puzzle was more of a challenge than usual.

I was one of those who didn’t solve it in time. I was travelling on Wednesday and busy making last minute arrangements on Tuesday and just didn’t have time to complete it.
