But see the nicer looking version of Patrick!

This noop-puzzle is not 1 to 7.

It's not just missing the operator on the cage, it's missing the number itself.

Edit: Oh, lol, I guess those are supposed to be the cage numbers, nm.

Edit: Solved. That was interesting. A somewhat different take on the -2 to 2 5x5 puzzle.

Edit: Hrm, wait, one error..

Thanks nicow [thumbsup]

Here's the same puzzle after running it through my "visualizer":

Okay, solved for real this time. Had to do the whole thing over again, the error was at the very end, of course >.<

Thanks for this good puzzle. [thumbup]

A little spoiler!
After I noticed that all numbers are determined (I didn’t expect that all three “right” single cages are different from those on “left” :-) ), and solved the puzzle, I tried to use subtraction at the negatively marked cages. Of course, I knew and know that this is “forbidden” act for us, puzzlers, but I just tried it – for fun. E.g. the right bottom “5−” cage could have three combinations: −2 + (−3) as addition; −2 − (+3) and −3 − (+2) as subtraction. Though, the puzzle would have only solution… [smile]

Thank you Kozibrada! I almost began to think no-one had interest in this new kind of puzzle!
And you would be right if the cage {F7,G7} is 5-. Then the puzzle indeed is incorrect.
With -5 it has only one solution!

I’m sorry, I thought “−5” cage, of course.

I noticed something else, and it could be a useful tip for potential no-op (and not only for “negative”! [rolleyes] ) puzzles. Your one contains only 2-cell cages, so it would mean in practice (if we omit the rule about forbidden negative result at subtraction) that |−n−| = |n−|… e.g. |−2 − (+2)| = |+2 − (−2)| = 4. But it same doesn’t always apply to “more”-cell cages.

I’ve chosen 3-cell L-shape in 3×3 no-op calcudoku with [−1, 0, 1]. In the sketch, except valid combinations, the last combination shows a possible result +1−, not −1−. So here |−n−| ≠ |n−|…
