Or is figuring that out part of the puzzle?I'm actually not 100% sure you can figure out the range from the puzzle,but my guess is it should be possible.Edit: looking at the puzzle, it's quite easy, there's a "-9" and a given "4".The 4 tells you the smallest possible negative number is -3, etc.

However I did not try "many" different sets of numbers, continuous of course, since I believe that actually the software is not able to generate puzzles with skipped numbers .
