Very bad news, that's very far from my possibilities, I am afraid I will continue being an angel.

I vote for a speed tortoise category. I'd be in for anything more liberal than 4x4 < 13 sec, 5x5 < 33 sec, 6x6 < 1 min 7 sec, and 8x8 < 3 min 48 sec.

The level of variation is weird. Today I was top 25 with 6:24.xx. A few days ago, I was outside the top 25 with 4:50.xx! Really weird! Or maybe just random fluctuations?

Paul, I agree the level of variation is very strange. I got into the top 25 on Friday which is now a lucky occurrence.
The times are getting faster.

Re: 8x8 timed, top 10 / top 25
With the 8x8 the combination of having 1 puzzle a day + the larger puzzle meaning more opportunities for things to go wrong probably does make the standings way more variable.
I also know from my standpoint if I get a sticking point and know that a puzzle in my personal top 100 isn't possible, I usually just kill it and move on, even though I could probably get points out of a few of those puzzles.
That said, yeah, I wonder how the average time now compares to when I started (Which, thinking about it, is almost 10 years ago, right? Just lining things up to where I was in life). I know I've recorded top 5 personal times for every size and we're not even a month into the year.
