Post Rankings
When I went to RANKINGS, I did not see the option to see WORLD rankings, or any of the various national/regional rankings.

I assume this is something that you (Patrick) are improving or testing a method?

It is because of a change, yes, I "factored out" some code that maps countries to areas (like "Europe"),
but forgot to also include the new bit on the rankings page [blush]

.. will fix

edit: should be better now

You must have fixed it shortly after I logged into the rankings earlier. I had the same problem as eclipsegirl, so I logged out and logged back in a few minutes later. And there was no longer a problem. [thumbup]

I assumed it was just the usual “try turning off your computer and then turning it back on again” solution that seems to fix a significant proportion of errors that arise with computers.

That should never be the solution though.. [glare]

But I guess that especially because of Windows this has become a standard "solution"
(with always the ultimate solution, "reinstall Windows" [scared] )

I'm now thinking I should add some more "regions", for example:

Northern Europe
Southern Europe
Benelux
...
?

Poland should maybe be added to Eastern Europe ?

I might be deported from Ireland for this, but British Isles, or more correctly UK and Ireland, might be an appropriate category? Having said this, I am currently recorded as Ukrainian in solidarity with their ongoing struggle against their Russian oppressors.

I need to add support for the fact that a country can be part of more than one category (!)

Because now Ukraine is not in the "Europe" category (and other countries), for example, which does not make sense.

A list is here: https://www.worldometers.info/geography ... in-europe/
(which puts the UK and Ireland in "Northern Europe", by the way, the Netherlands in "Western Europe").
(I always thought Ireland was further west than the Netherlands [tongue] )

edit: now testing with "British Isles" and "Benelux".
A question is if the rankings list that comes up first should be the grouped one (e.g. Benelux) or the single country one (e.g. Belgium) ?
