Post Ad Blocker disabled but site still won't show puzzles.
Just now, about 15 minutes ago, when I clicked on a new puzzle the site briefly showed me the puzzle then removed it, replacing with a message telling me to disable my ad blocker. I did as asked, disabling ad blocking on the calcudoku.org site, then refreshed the page, but the the same thing happened. This must be new code since it wasn't happening an hour ago.

I'm using Firefox 78.4.0esr on CentOS Linux. The ad blocker is Ad Block Plus.

And you can add Opera and Chrome to that list!

Looks like it's not browser dependent, ...

Apologies, that was a bug indeed, should be fixed now...

No problem [smile]

The ad code was ancient by now, and Google keeps bugging me about changing to "responsive" ads and all.

While putting that in I noticed that the adblock detection didn't work anymore,
after which I "fixed" that [glare]

I'm still getting the problem. Shows the puzzle. A few seconds later a message saying "If you are using an ad blocker, please consider supporting the site by subscribing" appears to the right of the puzzle. Then a few seconds after that the puzzle and message disappear to be replaced by the message "Please disable your ad blocker".

That is very strange.

Can you try a Shift + Ctrl + R reload?

I happen to be running CentOS as well, I'll try and revert to Firefix 78 to see if I can reproduce the problem.

edit: I managed to install Firefox 78.5.0ESR alongside Firefox 83,
but was not able to reproduce the problem [mellow]

Shift-Ctrl-R didn't fix the problem. Nor did restarting Firefox. But some combination of logging out of the site then back in and turning Ad Block Plus on then back off seems to have done the trick.
