apart from the usual bunch of fake accounts from Russia:
it turns out I introduced a bug in the signup code almost 6 weeks ago (!)
which made new account creation not work

There are things I can do to prevent this in the future. - automatic message if there is a "critical error" in the web server log - automatic signup test (for example): there is software that can do a "pretend signup" and then check if everything went ok Forced to be more professional about it ![[lol]](./images/smilies/msp_lol.gif "LOL")
