Post Ads appearing on timed puzzles
As a subscriber, my understanding is that my visits to this site will be free of ads.

That’s still the case with the regular puzzles. But when I tried doing timed puzzles just know, ads kept popping up. As you can imagine, this is very distracting, particularly when doing timed puzzles.

I don’t recall this problem arising previously, so I presume it’s some recent change in settings that has had unforeseen consequences. I’ll abandon doing timed puzzles for now in the hope that this problem will have been resolved later today.

So they actually appear while doing the puzzle?

I see they appeared on the "get set" page (the page with the top 10s, should be gone now),
but not seeing them on the actual puzzle page?

Maybe it was just happening on the “get set” page, I’m not sure. Working fine now, in any event.

Thanks for looking into it.

Thanks for reporting [thumbup]

Stupid of me not to test properly (I added the ads today,
figuring it was a good idea at the start of the holiday season [lol] )

For non-subscribers, would be possible remove ads from the ‘actual puzzle page’, please? Long page load time due to the loading of ads is understandable (based on an amount or a type/source (?); maybe also on a comp. configuration or an i-connection), but it’s very annoying when the cursor moves are permanently slowed down, even if the ads have been closed.
Thanks for any response… [drool]

Yes, good point.

I'll probably reduce the number, and probably also change the source for this one.

edit: I made these changes just now.

Thanks, now it works well; probably no or minimal delay. [thumbup]

I removed the ads on the right hand side again, because I was worried they might
be clicked accidentally (given it's a timed puzzle [scared] )
