Today I repeatedly got a strange glitch on puzzles. I would start puzzling, and then the site would pause to load ads, and after the loading finished keyboard inputs no longer worked - neither arrow keys nor numbers - though the on-screen number pad did. This also occurred on one of my timed puzzles, causing me to abandon the attempt.

Also, when this occurs, even scrolling using the touchpad fails when the cursor is on the website (but it still works when the cursor is on the scrollbar).

Does the keyboard start working again after you click once on the puzzle?

It works whenever a puzzle is loaded, but soon stops working. It might have something to do with site traffic around the daily turnover? I was doing the 12x12 just before and everything was fine. It also happens to drastically slow or even freeze my browser when it occurs.

It happened to me even with standard puzzles last days (not sure when exactly). Closing ads didn’t helped in some case (!). However, it’s been going well since evening yesterday.

I've been having this problem for the past few days. Same exact behavior as described above.

FWIW I get this message from Chrome when hovering over the tab: "High Memory Usage: 4 GB"

Edit: at the moment I'm seeing that the page itself uses about 55 MB, and the ads use 300-350 MB (!)

I'll let the page sit for a bit to see if this changes over time.

Edit 2: it does change (!): after about an hour and a half, the page is using an extra 100 MB ...

Edit 3: that does seem to be the maximum though, here it doesn't go above ~ 450 MB.

It must be happening again today. Had to click on the puzzle to get it working again each time.

_maybe_ it has to do with the ads, that an ads "steals focus" somehow
(and it definitely shouldn't).

I'll test a bit here.
