Skeeter,
Please add your information. I think Patrick should add it on to your stickie, or make it a separate one in 'Solving Strategies'

I have tried to work with Beaker, but we have agreed that what I have tried to help them with can be subtle. I grew up with working with different bases. Perhaps that flexibility is hard to learn, maybe its like learning a new language, its best if you learn it as a child.

@ Patrick,
If you decide that chapters should be longer, please consider making more smaller puzzles - 6x6 through 8x8. Please do not add five 10x10s of each kind

I can not speak for others. I use a lot of trial and error on the book puzzles. That requires a great deal of erasure. I assume the ability to do these puzzles online will allow user to save partially and totally solved puzzles. If my assumptions are accurate, I know it will help me, and perhaps help others with tougher puzzles.

Second, I assume one will only be allowed to turn in two puzzles per day. I know I work as many puzzles in a day as possible and build up a number of puzzles that are solved ready to be turned in. I am asking if you have devised a mechanism to hold our solved puzzles until they are turned in.

Hi, eclipsegirl. My bitwise AND tables were posted on Sunday, June 10, 2018 under "Solving strategies and tips" on the English language forum.

I'm not sure if the link above will work, so I've described where my tables can be found just in case.

The same is true if any user-created puzzles have bitwise AND once Patrick fixes up the error checking.

What is there to be fixed?

Hi, pnm. By "error checking", I meant error checking software for user-submitted puzzles. There was an issue with bertoldo's 9x9 user-made puzzle since the cages weren't specified in the proper order (left to right, top to bottom). You recently mentioned that you would temporarily suspend user-created puzzles until you had better error checking software. That's what I'd been referring to in my previous post and I'm looking forward to more user-created puzzles.

Ah, right, sorry, I misunderstood..
(thought you meant the online error checking of the AND operator)

It sounds great and I'm looking forward to trying out some new variations.

Any thoughts on likely publication date, Patrick?

Two more weeks or so?

I just need to create the 10 extra "variations" puzzles (and these take the most time,
coming up with a variation, and a lot of testing to get a puzzle of the right level).

And a new cover [smile]
Any suggestions, a different scary animal?

Maybe some sort of insect, like a bee or spider?

I think I've settled on this one though:

Darn it. I need 34 days to get the last ones turned in. [crying]
