Does the number that comes up represent the number of bonus puzzles that have been made available to you, or the number that you have solved.

It's the number you have solved.

The number you have "seen" is available too (and a lot quicker to compute).

I'm looking to add both, but first have to come up with a solution to the counting query taking too long to run.

Speaking of tough bonus puzzles, I am currently working on one which I may not be able to solve. Is there any way for me to find the solution after I am no longer eligible to solve it?

No, when it's gone, it's gone forever [scared]

Given that some bonus puzzles are indeed quite challenging,
maybe it'd be a good idea to add a "hint" button, only for the bonus puzzles.

You could use it 3 times (for example), and each time it'd give you a solution number.

NOW.......That would be of great help with the difficult ones or not as the number entered may not be in areas where difficulties are occurring,!!

I presume the way the hints would be in cells chosen by the person doing the puzzle, rather than being randomly assigned?

In order to be “fair” between those who solve the puzzle without hints and those who use them, maybe the points awarded for the puzzle could be reduced by the number of hints used? Or would this be too difficult to program?

Not difficult to program, but maybe a bit of a hassle because I'm thinking there are code changes required in quite a few places.

I double-checked this, and this is actually not true: the unsolved puzzle goes "back into the pool",
so you will see it again at some point in the future.

So it's even possible that the new bonus puzzle is the same puzzle again [scared] (small probability though)

edit: I'm thinking now there are unsolved bonus puzzles that are "lost", because
they went away before this change was applied. I'll see if I can "revive" those as well.

Both numbers should now be present on your history page,
please let me know if anything looks off [blink]
