Is it possible to include rankings for the active calendar year?

I have been solving puzzles for a while, but it is very hard to see how I am doing compared to my peers, since I have been a member for a relatively short period (2 years). As I am slowly climbing the all time ladder (currently 396), I am passing people who have been members for 5 or 6 years, and sometimes not active anymore. To gauge "long-term" (anything beyond a month) progress now on the basis of rankings is a rather arduous task, where you have to keep track of how some selected peers are doing. Scoring systems may have changed (eg. fewer points available per day in the past, different scoring system for the timed puzzles etc.).

This would be a lot simpler with an annualised ranking. And that would be rather straightforward to implement (since it is just a subset of the all time rankings), and thus should not be too taxing on the server.

Ok, all is in place now for the "Year To Date" rankings [woot]

They haven't been initialized properly yet (I'll need to write a separate script
that computes the current values for 2018) (may get to that)

Scores are set to go to zero on January 1st [drool]

(timed bonus points from December 31st will not be counted towards the "year-to-date" total of 2019)

Thanks for that Patrick.

Seems like there are still a few bugs to iron out. According to my history I have scored 16848 points this year (up to now), but on the rankings by year tab that is just 571.

Not sure whether there is a "wrong start date", or if everything has not been initialised properly yet.

Sorry to be a nuisance, but where do I find the year to date rankings?

Nice to have another stat. Would it be possible to include the year to date ranking in the line that appears above the icons?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that ranking is already computed, will check

Looks really nice, and now I can quite comfortably gauge how well / badly I am doing compared to others, over a longer period than a month.

That is really useful for those of us who have not been around for 5+ years.
