There was a suggestion that Patrick might show archive year to date rankings (from 2019 onwards, I presume). Has this happened and, if so, where do I find them?

I am out of the chase for 2020.
I could not do all the daily puzzles today.
I just needed finished the KS with less than 3 mins left, and didnt even attempt the Sudoku..

That how it goes when other people arrange your day.

That’s unlucky and very frustrating. [cursing] I had a near miss a while back when we had visitors (a huge gang of my wife’s relatives) and I still hadn’t completed that day’s Killer. I managed to escape for a few minutes to complete it with a few minutes to spare, but it was a close call.

This happened last year at a similar time.

We go on vacation for a few weeks, and dive. Friends want me to dive at places that arent as close. If I have my phone, I might have been able to do the sudoku while we all at lunch at the location but didnt think that we we come home as late in the day as we did.
But being glued to your phone while at lunch with others is a tad anti-social.

Yes, I've been known to get a bit of stick (criticism) for doing just that! :-) [blush]

Same here. Often by the same people who are spending copious amounts of time checking their Twitter and Facebook. Even as they talk to me.

Just looking at the year to date rankings, they don’t seem to include points earned for solving the two user created puzzles. My recollection is that user created puzzles were included in the 2019 rankings.

Just wondering why the change this year? Or have I got it wrong about last year?

Paul
You are right that User Submitted Puzzles that was published on Dec 31 2019, was included in the 2019 rankings, and in the 2020 rankings if you solved it in 2020.

Later in Jan, Patrick decided that User Submitted Puzzles should not count toward the year to date rankings.

It makes sense when you consider that Book submitted puzzles do not count toward the Year to date rankings, either.
I assume the special puzzles Patrick has created for the newsletter also do not count toward the year to date rankings.

Just wondering when the year to date rankings are going to be reset. Also, will archive figures for 2020 (and possibly even 2019??) be made available?

Good question, another year has passed, and my memory doesn't reach that far back [confused]

(so I don't remember if I did a manual reset last time, or if it was automatic..)
(the answer must be in the forum somewhere [smile] )

edit: it was a manual operation, completed just now.
