Thank you very much, paulv66, skeeter84, ineedaname, ... , for your congrats, I like those congrats coming from different continents, ... , I am sure you all will also get the 250 K one day (around 500 per week or 25 K per year, in my case I am in this "club" since August 25, 2010).

Now that we are very near 19 M puzzles I would like to know how many points have been scored in total (more than 50 or 60 M ?) (including those from puzzlers who have not reached 20 points and consequently are not shown in the rankings). Perhaps this statistic is possible.

Grand total at the moment is 49304299 points [woot]

clm: a great total and are you still 100% for the gold stars......congratulations on achieving the 1/4 million mark......I wonder how many of us will stilll be doing these for another 10 years......hope to see the 1/2 million by you or another user in the next 10 years (I am just about 7000 from the 200,000 mark and assume it will be sometime in Feb 2020 and there are a few others that should be hitting that mark at about the same time.....getting crowded down here)......nice that you and mparisis have separated yourselves from the rest of the pack!!! [smile]

Actually pretty amazing to think that mparisi is responsible for 0.5% of all scored points...

To think that mparisi and clm combined have scored more than 1% of every point ever here at calcudoku.org [scared]
A conga line of congrats for both of you [thumbup] [love] [biggrin] :-) [cool] [woot] [thumbsup]

Thanks, Patrick. This means the average is something below 3 which is logic, the frequency of the small puzzles is much higher, while 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, ... points must represent a small number of solutions.

Then, how many million points (out of those 49,3 M) have been obtained with the wide puzzles, let's say, from 8 points on [smile] ?. Is it possible to calculate that?

A suggestion: To add a second counter for points :-) :-) .

So do you mean for puzzles worth 8 points or more?

Or maybe puzzles 8x8 and larger?

Patrick
