Regarding the extra puzzle for Sept 19, 2023.

This is a really excellent puzzle.
After standard reductions, the key step is a JELLYFISH, using the Sudoku term.
In rows 1237, the candidate values of 7 appear only in columns EFGH and so we can the eliminate the candidate 7's in columns EFGH, rows (45689A).
This is really hard to spot. It's a real feat to produce such a puzzle.

Which puzzle do you mean? It is not the 8x8, not the 9x9, not the 10x10 and not the killersudo.

Thanks for reminding me! Solving one of the twins at a time is way more fun:)

... One problem I have is what to do with the dual puzzles. I usually try to solve the A puzzle (the one on the left) by itself and I only use the second puzzle if I get stuck on the first. What I have found is that for many of these, the A puzzle is a really excellent puzzle that I enjoyed solving on its own. Combining the two puzzles is usually much less interesting...

Hi, crabmouse, iy you are more interested in this subject, perhaps you can find useful this topic (in the Section "Solving strategies and tips"):

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1007

At that time, in 2017, I tried to demonstrate, that "always" a twin puzzle could be solved by doing one of them, the left or the right side, and that both must have a unique solution, with the possible exception of the fm 0 twins, as commented there... [smile]

As I wrote in the past, creating a challenging twin puzzle is, well, challenging [lol]

At the moment it is set up such that _one_ of the puzzles must have a unique solution
(bit of a cheap way to guarantee the pair must have a unique solution..).
