Yeah, for some reason the twos didn't ring right when I was typing that. Still, though, it's just 6 combinations in a 2 cell, and 12 in a 3 cell.
Just for the sake of comparing, it does make more sense to do permutations, as that's what I did with the bitwise (And I now realize I've been using the technically incorrect word "combinations" this whole time. Oops.).
Regardless, doing both of those yields far more solutions for almost any mod cage than a similar bitwise cage.
