This is actually the key question, thanks for that :

Calcudoku + Killer Sudoku:
Sunday, 11 + 1 = 12
Monday, 11 + 1 = 12
Tuesday, 12 + 2 = 14
Wednesday, 10 + 1 = 11
Thursday, 11 + 1 = 12
Friday, 8 + 2 = 10
Saturday, 9 + 1 = 10

then add 2 Sudoku's and 1 extra puzzle on each day.

Obviously Tuesday is the only "problem day" really.

I suggest one Killer Suduko a day.

If Tuesday is the only "problem" day, then I would just suggest not having any easy sudoku on Tuesdays.

You might move a Tuesday puzzle to Friday, and possibly a second one to Saturday. Maybe one of the 8x8 on Friday and one KS on Saturday?

Yes, that's what I was thinking too.

This would require some more analytics, but maybe the "load balancing" should could take into account how long it takes for people to complete puzzles on average. Aim for the same general solving time for all puzzles in a day.

Saturday's extra could muddle things a bit, as could the 12x12s and the Tuesday 9x9, but nothing insurmountable.

Yes, especially if I'm moving easy puzzles, the "load" won't change so much.

For now I've removed the medium and difficult 5x5 on Tuesday.

I probably should add at least one Calcudoku puzzle to both Friday and Saturday.

Every other Saturday, we have a 15 x 15 puzzle as the extra. I would not add a puzzle on those days.

Yes. but we have a whole month within which to solve it. I would not like to see the total number of puzzles per week reducing.
