Thanks! But I have to ask... is the fifth number on the first row really a 4? I had a two in that cell.. Did I misunderstant the rules or something?

Interesting how one can be blind to something like this..

no way there can be two 4's next to each other of course, will investigate...

It seems to have been something with the rendering of the solution (not the solver itself),

I know what you mean.. It's somewhat like the "phenomenon" where the the human eye/brain doesn't recognize if there are two "the" words next to each other in a sentence.

And I've had this happen in a puzzle where I just don't see that a row or a column has the same number twice etc...

But thanks for the correction, I thought my mind had gone :-)
