I’ve absolutely no idea how these puzzles work. Was there an explanation in an earlier post?

Basically the two rules:

Every cage contains the numbers from 1-n, where n is the number of cells in the cage

No number x is adjacent (in any of 8 directions left/right/up/down and any of the intermediate diagonals) to another copy of that number x.
