 3 cell MOD

Post 3 cell MOD
I gather from the instructions that Mod cages should only be two cells. But the "Difficult 8x8" of 5th November has two occurrences of 3-cell MOD 7 cages. How are these to be interpreted?

Those cages have the "bitwise OR" operator, using the symbol |

For the modulo operator just the word "mod" is used.
