Post higher calling
I think we can all agree that we are on this site everyday because we get pleasure from solving problems. Collectively, there is probably more brain power in this group than anywhere else in the world. What if we all worked together to solve the problem of some horrible disease like Parkinson. What could be more rewarding than that. I have seen first hand what this disease does to someone. If there is promising research that needs funding or maybe someone in this group is involved in finding a cure. A group like us with this much potential could do remarkable things.

Interesting idea, using the Calcudoku puzzlers as a "brain network" [thumbup]

(I moved this to "other number stuff" if that's ok)

The idea that there are a lot of smart people doing the puzzles doesn't mean they all have a biological/medical background......I would suggest that most have a mathematical background.....but your suggestion of a Parkinson's Disease cure did hit home as my wife has PD and has had it for the past 8 years......she had not gotten any worse until just recently and am now finding out what my life is going to be like for as long as she keeps adding new problems .....not good for her nor me!

Hi, beaker. I'm really sorry to hear that your wife has Parkinson's. [sad]
