Personally I think that many people have an ad blocker because the ads slow down the puzzles too much, not because they don't want to see the ads.
When I disable my ad blocker, the orange square starts moving approximately 10 seconds after I used the arrow keys.
This makes it nearly impossible to solve a puzzle quickly, which is the main reason why I make the puzzles.

I understand why people use an ad blocker, but it's not great if everyone uses one (not the case yet of course).

The 10 second delay is crazy, I'll try to figure out why that is (maybe you can send me an email / forum message
describing your PC configuration?)

The delay occurs only at the start of the puzzle, after that everything works fine.
I really have no idea how I can figure out my pc configurations.

I just saw that the new block message also occurs at the timed puzzles.
Because it appears after about 7,90 seconds, I was able to solve the 4*4s before the puzzles were blocked, but I don't expect to be so fast on the other puzzle sizes [wink]
If you would remove the message from the timed puzzles, it would be ok to me that I've to wait 10 seconds before I can start a regular puzzle.

Easiest is to disable the ad blocker for the site though.
And the timed puzzle page doesn't have ads anyway.

Wrt. the delay I'll see what I can figure out from the logs..

edit: I do see you're using the "Edge" browser. It may help to use Chrome or Firefox instead, let me know.

The delay is still there, but now only 1-2 seconds instead of 10.
There are still ads in the timed puzzles, that give a delay of about 0,5 seconds though.

Just got a very easy timed 5*5, but after one second the ads started loading...
It would have been one of my best times if those ads hadn't delayed my puzzle for 1,5 seconds [cursing]

Sorry about that, as far as I know there should be no ads,
but I still have to test this.

(and they should also always load "asynchronously", so not interfere with the functioning of the page)

The puzzle (and the timer) seem to load first, the ads always start loading when the puzzle has loaded.
