IIRC, the achievement was for if a participant reached one of the goals.
You made it it on a smaller puzzle. Very cool
Congrats on the achievement.

Not one that I will ever attain.

Although I am not a subscriber, I just earned the Speed Demon award. Is this caveat available to those who have passed the requirements for 4x4, 5x5, & 6x6 even if they have not done so for 8x8?

I was fixing a bug with the "speed demon" achievement check yesterday, I'll check what happened in your case.
(you need to get the time for each size)

edit: I introduced a silly bug: it checks if the time is below the limit, and not equal to zero. I figured I can
remove the zero check, because the database query already did this. I forgot that if there are _no_ times in the
database, it also returns zero [blink]

(I finally got mine yesterday, with a 2:31 on the 8x8 [woot] )

Yes, users of the Russian version have this special, more difficult challenge [lol]
OK, I see: it's your revenge for my neverending nitpicking [tongue]
And here's just another remark: achievements like MEGALOMANIAC should have a progress bar, so that users can keep track of how much is left.
This is what it looks like in MS Solitaire (it says, 8 bronze badges out of 12; 8 silver badges out of 10).
// Sorry about the screenshot being all Russian; I can't switch the language.

Yes, that is on the todo list. It has to be done in any case,
because the query to get the current count takes too long [glare]

And shouldn't the achievement be to solve 12 12x12 on the day of publication?

Yes, that's the condition.

A progress counter has been added (though everyone started at zero [blush] )

edit: ah, only now I see you put twelve. Good idea [thumbup]

I should have bolded.

I got tired of the self imposed pressure and stress of completing all of the puzzles everyday. Even though I was retired, I got a part time job and set a "reasonable" target of 45 points per day. I have a more balanced and sane life now.

That’s a very sensible approach and one that I should adopt. I’ve been doing some part time lecturing of late and this should be enough of a mental challenge for me. But I haven’t quite been able to let go just yet.

My counter is showing as 1/10. I thought the target was 12 and I’ve solved all 8 12x12s so far this year on the day of publication.
