Yes, in general there is some "redundancy on purpose" in the puzzle.

Typically the case in easy puzzles I think, just to give people more paths to a solution.

This was the first ever thermo sudoku for myself, and I found this to be quite easy. I just had to use Excel to make a grid to solve it [smile]

But a nice new kind of puzzle anyway, but it will take me a long time to start solving much harder than this (I saw examples of puzzles with no starting numbers, and I think they will take too long to solve like the difficult killer sudokus).
