Even though the forum is for Calcudoku / logic / number puzzles etc., I thought I'd post this:
sadly, Clive Sinclair, the man indirectly responsible for this site has passed away:

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... es-aged-81

(my life in computing started with a ZX Spectrum)

Very sad. Thanks for the new.
How to forget the ZX Spectrum... !!! the sound of the cassettes when loading programs... :-) 16K of ROM!!! [thumbsup] , the amount of things done with almost one millionth of ROM than the actual computers.

I can remember the wonderful book "The Complete Spectrum ROM Disassembly", at that time like a bible for many.

And you could extend the 48K to 80 K (16K of ROM plus 64K of RAM, with two pages of 32K each, selectable with a switch, with an indicating led, an invention that a friend bought for me in the surroundings of London.

Awww, that's sad. Rest in peace, Mr. Sinclair, and may you now have eternal happiness in the hereafter.
