Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
johne wrote: This is very good - something that I have wanted for ages. But it does not work with the numeric keypad (at least in Chrome) where the Shift key causes the highlighted box to be moved rather than a number entered. I see, it looks like pressing Shift inverts the Numlock state (!). So with Numlock enabled, pressing keypad keys enters numbers, and with Shift they become cursor keys again. And with Numlock disabled, pressing keypad keys moves the cursor, and with Shift you can enter guesses... There should be a way around this, I'll look into it. Patrick

Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
Yet another issue:
When you bold one of the cells with guesses in it, you can't see the guesses anymore. Then when you unbold it, the guesses don't appear.

(BTW, there's another annoyance with backspacing -- if there was a previous value in the cell, it get redrawn with what appears to be a newline before the number, but this issue was introduced some time ago.)

Ok make that 10 issues then

Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
This is a feature I have been hoping for ever since I first came to the site nearly a year ago. It is absolutely great. Thanks a lot for doing it. Sorry about all the little issues that have come up but it works very well if you stick to the basics.

Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
I've been thinking about the issue with numbers outside the 1-9 range.
When I print out a 10x10 or 12x12, I use A, B and C for 10, 11 and 12. Would that work for the community at large? I realize this doesn't obviously extend to the 5x5's with negatives, but it might be a solution for the larger puzzles.

Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
I simply use the bold function for my guesses and for the 0's in the puzzles with zeroes......the guesses stand out as the bold cell is GREEN!

Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
I'd just like to add my thanks for the effort you put into this feature. I love it! I only use it on the larger puzzles, but it has come in very handy.
I like the idea of being able to use A, B, C for 10, 11, and 12. On a puzzle that large, having the "guesses" visible really helps.

Re: fill in your guesses with the Shift key
More bugs: Clearing the cell with the space makes it look as though it has erased the guesses but they are still there. Clearing the entire puzzle has the same problem. For example: highlight cell, press shift-1-2-3 clear cell with space press shift-1 1 disappears because it was really there but hidden 2-3 reappear
But thanks for the feature. Can't live without it.
Thanks, Ed
