more points for the medium Sudoku
I received a question about the medium Sudoku: should it be worth
more points than the current 2 ?

What do people think?

In terms of time taken versus points earned, it's definitely way out of line with most (if not all) other puzzles. So an increase in points awarded (maybe to 5 or thereabouts) would not be inappropriate, in my opinion.

agree with with paulv66........and how about a point or two for the easier sudoku [smile] [thumbup] as I do not do them now........a point or two would be enough of an incentive to start!

I would be happiest with no points for any sudoku.

Like Paul said, timewise it would be fair to give 4-5 points for the medium sudoku and about 2 for the easy one.
It might go against the 'philosophy' of the site though, it being a calcudoku site. I leave that up to you though. Personally, it wouldn't bother me.

I agree with Paul on the medium sudoku, more points due to time spent.

Beaker is right in that I rarely do the easy sudoku because I don't earn points. If you make it worth 2 pts, then some of us will do them every day.

I think the easy Sudoku should be worth one point, and the medium 3. This way there are more points but the focus is still on the normal puzzles and Killer Sudokus.

The only issue is with the "completists" who don't like Sudokus ..

They'll be forced to solve another Sudoku [mellow]

Since discovering calcudoku, I find sudoku very tame and relatively uninteresting. I don't think I would ever bother doing one if it wasn't worth points.

The easy sudoku is easy. I think completeists can handle the task.
